Spolupráce, vzájemná pomoc a projevování lásky těm, kteří jsou osamělí, sklíčení, zapomenutí a týraní, mohou věci změnit. Pomůže to nejen těm, ke kterým budeme laskaví, ale i nám samým. Nesobecká láska nám dokáže dát nový pohled na život a vyřešit nejen naše osobní problémy, ale i problémy ve světě. „Změň svět láskou“ nabízí konkrétní příklady, jak tento sen uskutečnit.
Tato kniha je osobní výpovědí člověka, který žil ve 14 různých zemích na čtyřech kontinentech – z toho pět let v Indii a deset let v Africe.
Jako dobrovolník pracuje na plný úvazek již 48 let, ve snaze pomáhat lidem tam, kde je toho nejvíce zapotřebí.
Ve nedávné době se svým týmem postavil dvě školy v buši v Konžské demokratické republice, které nabízejí bezplatné vzdělání tisícům dětí, což v této zemi vůbec není samozřejmostí. Jeho životní zkušenosti mohou být inspirací pro každého, kdo chce vést šťastnější a plnohodnotnější život.
Od svého dospívání jsem hledal řešení problémů, které existují ve světě i v mém životě. Když jsem zažil opravdovou nesobeckost lásku, byl to zlom v mém životě. Od té doby – před více než 48 lety – se snažím pomoci ostatním, aby zažili totéž, do teď ve 14 různých zemích, kde jsem žil. Posledních 25 let organizuji humanitární a rozvojovou pomoc, nejprve ve východní Evropě a od roku 2000 v Africe.
V Africe jsem žil více než 10 let, převážně v Konžské demokratické republice, což mě motivovalo k napsání knihy „Změň svět láskou“. Většina lidí tam postrádá základní životní potřeby a zaslouží si lepší vzdělání, infrastrukturu a větší rozvoj zemědělství a venkova.
Slabiny průmyslově vyspělých zemí s přílišným důrazem na materialismus je třeba také řešit.
Hlavní změnu je třeba dosáhnout v srdci, mysli a přístupu.
Řešením problémů, jako je chamtivosti, války, hlad, chudoba a osamělost, je opravdová nesobecká láska.

Četla jsem vaši knihu a moc se mi líbila! Vaše postřehy a úvahy jsou silné a dozvěděla jsem se o Kongu mnohem víc. V prvních kapitolách jsem se s vámi úplně ztotožnila, protože mnoho vašich postřehů jsou stejné jako ty moje.- O místních lidech, jak žijí, přežívají tolik bídy, chudoby a nerovnosti. "Střední třída" v Kongu téměř neexistuje, ale obyvatelé to akceptují a vytrvají. Mají tolik naděje a odvahy, která na mě za ta léta udělala dojem. Obzvlášť se mi líbilo množství odkazů, které jste připojil. Wow! Tolik citátů od tak moudrých legendárních lidí z celého světa. A je tak skvělé, že jste odkazy zařadili na své webové stránky. I read your book and I love it! Your insights and reflections are powerful and I learned much more about the DRC. In the beginning chapters, I could place myself right with you since so many of your observations replicate mine. Who the people are and how they live, surviving so much destitution, poverty and disparity. The “middle class” barely exists in the DRC, but the population accepts that and perseveres. They possess so much hope and courage which has impressed me over the years. I especially loved the many references you included. Wow! So many quotes from such wise legendary people around the world. And so brilliant to include the references on your website. I’m still accessing them and enjoying the powerful stories! You and your wife have dedicated your lives to the DRC and other nations around the world and I am so grateful for your excellent work. J’ai lu ton livre avec grand plaisir, car il m’a donné un aperçu complet des problèmes du Congo et de toute l’Afrique.
Les chapitres 4 à 6 m’ont beaucoup interpellé, car ta manière de présenter la foi chrétienne comme solution aux problèmes est délicate et captivante.
Malheureusement, au vu de la situation politique actuelle dans le monde, l’espoir de pouvoir changer le monde par l’amour s’éloigne encore plus. Mais à petite échelle, vous y parvenez merveilleusement !

Tout est très bien présenté par toi. C’est tout simplement grandiose comment, après les premiers chapitres sur le Congo, puis la situation dans les pays industrialisés, tu passes à la foi en Dieu. La transition est structurée et mise en mots de manière géniale ! Ce livre doit tout simplement figurer dans la liste des best-sellers !

J’ai lu 20 pages & je peux honnêtement dire qu’il est difficile de le lâcher !
J’aime le fait que tu écrives dans un anglais clair et simple et que tu aères le texte avec des titres réguliers. Cela rend beaucoup plus facile (du moins pour moi) de comprendre & de suivre chaque idée ou point que tu abordes.
J’ai hâte de continuer à lire ce livre !
