What is the root of so many problems in today's world? Is there any remedy, any hope?

Working together, helping each other, and showing love to those who are lonely, downcast, forgotten, mistreated will change things around. It helps the ones who receive love as well as those who give it – a win-win situation. Selfless love can give us a new outlook on life and solve our personal problems as well as those in the world. “Change the World with Love” offers concrete ideas how to make this dream become a reality.

What is the book about?

This book is a personal account of the author who lived in 14 different countries on four continents – including five years in India and ten years in Africa.

For the past 48 years, he has been working as a full-time volunteer, helping people live better lives.

Most recently, he and his team have built two schools in the “bush” in the DR Congo, offering free tuition for thousands of children – not a given in this country.

HIS LIFE EXPERIENCES CAN BENEFIT ANYONE WHO WANTS TO LEAD A HAPPIER AND MORE FULFILLING LIFE.

The proceeds of this book will support the school projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Wolfgang Peter Schmidt

Since my teenage years, I have been searching for a solution to the problems
that exist in the world and in my own life. When I experienced true selfless love for the first time, it was a turning point in my life. Since then – for more than 48 years – I have been helping others to have the same experience, in 14 countries
around the globe. For the past 25 years, I have been organizing humanitarian
and development aid projects, first in Eastern Europe and since
2000, in Africa.

I have lived in Africa for more than 10 years, mostly in the DR Congo, which
motivated me to write this book “Change the World with Love.” Most of the
people there lack the essentials of life. They need better education and
infrastructure as well as more agricultural and rural development.
The weaknesses of the industrialized countries, who put too much emphasis on materialism and money, need to be addressed as well. The main change has
to occur in the heart, mind and attitude.
The only solution to greed, war, hunger, poverty and loneliness is love.

The book “Change the World with Love” by Wolfgang Peter Schmidt […] takes us to his school project “Mushapo” in the DR Congo. At the beginning, the author describes the everyday life in and the historical contexts of this country and thus gives a good overview of the possibilities of his help. His vision: to provide children in a poor country with education, which should lead to self-help. Together with his wife, an on-site team, many supporters at home and abroad, and the association “Aktive Direkt Hilfe e. V.,” he can put this project into practice. In doing so, he tries to make the impossible possible and documents it with many situations and photos. What inner drive helps him not to give up and to keep going despite failures? His great love for God and the people, but also his remarkable organizational skills. As a Christian missionary, he seeks practical solutions to give disadvantaged people a better life, especially children.

This book is a documentation of love, and the appeal to help is touching, encouraging and needs the support of all of us who are fortunate enough to live in a prosperous country. It was given to me with the question, “Is this project still worth supporting?” After all that I have read in the book and have been able to research about the association “Aktive Direkt Hilfe e. V.,” my answer is YES. Here the saying proves true: Love can move mountains. Therefore, I will gift the book to friends. It is worth it!

Dear Wolfgang,

You have presented everything really well. It is simply terrific how you lead from the first chapters about the Congo over the situation in the industrialized countries to faith in God. The transition is ingeniously structured and put into words! The book simply must make it onto the bestseller lists!

Dr. Rudolf Müller

Hello Wolfgang!

I read your book with great pleasure because it gave me a comprehensive insight into the problems of Congo and of Africa as a whole. Chapters 4-6 appealed to me very much because your way of bringing Christian faith nearer as a solution to the problems is sensitive and gripping. Unfortunately, the hope of being able to change the world globally with love is becoming a more distant prospect in view of the current political situation in the world. On a small scale, however, you succeed wonderfully!

Josef Lierzer

Hallo Wolfgang!
